Heritage Square Series

Grand Performances’ Heritage Square Series is a trilogy of cinematic concert experiences that showcase performances by Women of Color (Grace Oh, Low Leaf, and Jimetta Rose’s Voices of Creation) filmed at Heritage Square Museum set against a backdrop of iconic Victorian architecture emblematic of late 19th century Los Angeles.

This three-part series inaugurated yesterday with a vibrational healing sound bath with Grace Oh, and will continue these next two upcoming Sunday mornings with Low Leaf and Voices of Creation.

Watch Grace Oh’s full performances on GP’s YouTube. (For the most immersive sound bath experience, headphones are highly recommended).

Grace Oh’s sound bath was filmed under a magnificent Coral Tree that was brought to Heritage Square in 1970 when it was relocated from its original location in Lincoln Heights. Native to South Africa, the Coral Tree is the Official Tree of the City of Los Angeles), and offers a serene canopy of shade for Grace Oh’s sound bath.

The second installment of GP’s Heritage Square Series will feature multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and producer Low Leaf, which will premiere on YouTube this Sunday September 20th at 11:11am PT.

Rooted in classical piano since early childhood, Low Leaf combines an array of genres by playing the harp, piano, guitar, singing, and making beats.
